- In recent years, research activities and graduate studies have become increasingly prominent in the academic arena. Despite the highly competitive and rigorous assessment criteria for entry, the Department of Architecture has attracted a significant number of graduate applicants and students. While the department values a rigorous system for inviting ideas and caliber, it also aims to create a research community and culture that fosters a conducive environment. The ultimate goal is to distinguish the Department of Architecture as a unique hub for architecture research that centers on critical issues related to Asia.
- The Department of Architecture offers research study opportunities through its Graduate by Research degree programs, which lead to the Masters of Art (Architecture), the PhD in Architecture program, and the Postdoctoral Fellowship program. We strive to be recognized for our design education and research in Asian eco-urbanism with inclusive social dimensions.
